My book review on ACB with Horonra Lee

ACB with Honora Lee by Kate De Goldi is a lovely book that shows a great theme with love, life and death.

Honora (Gran) is the main character in this book. She has a very sad disability. It is Alzheimer's/dementia. Honora (Gran) is a short old lady who has gray hair. Honora's granddaughter Perry is approximately 12 years of age. She loves collecting bumble bees with Gran in the story but I can't tell you what happens to them.

Perry has all these activities after school. In the holidays she asked her mother if she could go to Santa Lucia. She thought it was a great idea but Dad didn't say the same. In the end Mum and Dad said yes. At Santa Lucia she helped Gran making an ACB book because Gran could not remember her ABC's. All  through the holidays they worked hard and something bad happened in the end. If you would like to know what happens read this amazing book.

My likings about this book are all the interesting juicy details and the AMAZING artwork that Gregory O'Brien the illustrator, created. My dislikes are that it is too emotional. It's sad then it's happy then sad then happy then sad again and again. I rate this book 99.9 out of 100.

The message in this book is to show empathy to people, not only disabled people but everyone.

My recommendation: This book would be suitable for ages 9 to 13 years because it shows a great message for kids to learn.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! I hope that you do too.

Purple tastes like cranberries tickling taste buds
It smells as juicy as squishy mushy berries
It looks like an amethyst pastel smudged all over my walls
It sounds like berries shouting as loud as lions EAT ME!
It feels as slimy as a blob of lavender paint tipped all over you.

Netball training

Our coach is Aroha she taught us some basic skills like chest throws, log/rainbow throws and bounce throws here is a pic
This is a pic of us and Aroha explaining how to do each pass. Here's why these throws are called them:
The rainbow throw is a throw that goes in the shape of a rainbow up high and down.
The chest throw is when you throw the ball from your chest directly at your teammates chest.
The bounce throw is when you need to bounce the ball 3 quarters away from yourself so the ball doesn't go high and you teammate can catch it.

I LOVE NETBALL!!!!!
